The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers into the community.
SASSA are going to be rendering providers which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency stated it can be alarmed regarding the superior variety of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The goal in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a large quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is often mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no thoroughly functional office committed to service the area on a daily basis. The services point created for intervention ordeals a significant inflow of likely beneficiaries, which makes it tough with the Workplace to attend to all people who check out sassa status a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more means to empower the servicing of all shoppers and boost access to sassa Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
